Dr. Christine James, ND, Weight Loss Physician
As a regional leader in obesity medicine, Dr. Christine James helps people transform their lives. She provides science-based, individualized weight loss programs to the Seattle area at Sound Medical Weight Loss located in Kirkland, Washington. Dr. James specializes in helping patients reduce and manage their weight to improve their health and overall well-being. Her medical weight loss programs specifically address many weight related conditions such as heart health, diabetes, high blood pressure, and sleep apnea and many more.
Dr. James earned her doctorate in naturopathic medicine at Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. There, she developed her nutritional, dietary, diagnostic, and disease management skills. After obtaining her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine she completed nearly a year long externship with a cardiologist where she received advanced training in conventional and integrative cardiovascular care. She has advanced training in obesity medicine to address the complexities of weight gain.
Patients receive comprehensive medical assessment, metabolic analysis, and an individualized weight loss plan when they meet with Dr. James. Her holistic approach improves their overall wellness and helps them reach a healthy body weight. She addresses diet, exercise, lifestyle as well as beliefs, emotions, eating disorders and behaviors. She may recommend advanced tests for food sensitivities, weight related genetics, as well as hormone and metabolic panels, to help identify hidden factors that can inhibit weight loss to better help her patients achieve their goals.

Aman Gill, DNP Weight Loss Provider & Botox/Filler Specialist
Aman Gill is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University where she received her Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner. She brings over 10 years of experience to her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Aman believes that every patient is a unique individual and as a result, she treats every patient with the respect and dignity that they deserve. She focuses on providing holistic, non-judgmental, compassionate care in a positive healthcare environment. She is dedicated to educating patients in promoting healthy habits and preventing disease. Aman’s philosophy is to strive for progress, not perfection!
Kristen Novey, PA-C
Kristen grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She spent the majority of her young adulthood moving further and further west, finally landing in Seattle in 2015. She received her master's of Physician Assistant studies at Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon, and got her start in primary care and internal medicine.
Through the years, Kristen developed a deep passion for metabolic health, sharpening her skills as a diabetes and weight loss specialist. She now joins the team at Sound Medical Weight Loss with special expertise in type 2 diabetes management, prediabetes, metabolic syndrome, and insulin resistance. She approaches weight loss through a medical lens that focuses on blood sugar and insulin stabilization, coupled with the use of newer diabetes medications, when desired. With the belief that patients know their body best, Kristen strives to provide exceptional medical care that aligns patient preferences and goals with the best of medical evidence and natural treatments.
In her spare time, Kristen enjoys spending time with her family in the beautiful PNW outdoors, traveling, creating quick and healthy meals, and serving as vocalist, keyboardist, and bassist during family band nights.
Latasha Patterson, Office Manager
Hello, my name is Latasha Patterson, I am from Cambridge, Massachusetts. I started working in patient care at the age of 13 as a personal care aide for disabled patients. I felt it was important to give patients great care in their time of need. There began my journey of over 20 years in administrative management roles, working hard to give patients a wonderful experience. On September 9th 2023, I joined Sound Medical Weight Loss as their clinic manager. This is a place where patients are getting outstanding care and direction towards healthy lifestyles. I am excited to be a part of building great relationships with our patients and helping them succeed at reaching their goals.

Amanda Kenney earned her medical assistant license from Pima Medical Institute and is currently working on her nursing degree. She brings many years of leadership experience in the weight loss field. She is dedicated to her patients and shows compassion when addressing their concerns.

She has supported 100's of individuals to a health promoting lifestyle and believes that everyone has the opportunity to experience health. Sarah is a wife and mom of 3 boys. Chante Fiamengo is a Master Aesthetician with an extensive background in laser treatments, and body contouring. Brian Lovelace, Coaching Specialist

He began practicing NLP (neuro-linguistics programming) as a tool for development in communication and personal growth for clients looking to drastically impact their lives with positive change through cognitive and behavioral management. As a teacher, mentor, and coach, Brian still considers himself a constant student.
