Self Care Bath Recipe

Create your own bath soak from easy-to-find ingredients is simple and customizable. Here's a basic recipe to get you started:

Ingredients:

  • Epsom salt: Relieves muscle tension and promotes relaxation.
  • Essential oils: Add fragrance and therapeutic benefits. Choose oils based on your preferences and desired effects (lavender for relaxation, eucalyptus for congestion relief, etc.) *If using oils make sure you don’t have a reaction to them first by testing it on your skin - IF using oils add 1/4 cup of baking soda as a base.
  • 3 tablespoons of dried rose petals

Instructions:

  1. Start by mixing the dry ingredients in a bowl. Use about 1 cup of Epsom salt and 1/4 cup of baking soda as a base.
  2. Add 10-15 drops of your chosen essential oil(s) to the mixture. Adjust the amount based on your preference for fragrance strength.
  3. Stir the ingredients well to ensure even distribution of the essential oil(s).
  4. Add the dried rose petals.
  5. Transfer the mixture to an airtight container, such as a glass jar or a resealable plastic bag, for storage.

Usage:

  • When you're ready to enjoy a relaxing bath, simply add 1/2 to 1 cup of your homemade bath soak to warm running water. Swirl the water to dissolve the salts and distribute the essential oils.
  • Soak in the bath for at least 20 minutes to allow the ingredients to work their magic. Relax, unwind, and enjoy the soothing benefits of your DIY bath soak!

Feel free to customize your bath soak recipe by adding other ingredients like dried herbs (such as lavender buds or chamomile flowers) or 1/2 cup of coconut milk for extra nourishment and fragrance. Experiment with different combinations until you find the perfect blend for your self-care routine.
