A doctorate in naturopathic medicine provided the foundation for her nutritional, dietary, diagnostic, and disease management skills. Advanced training in obesity medicine expanded her expertise and understanding of the multitude of factors involved in weight management. Lauren Archer directs our Mindfulness Program. With over 25 years in private practice, Lauren is the author of Six Word Lessons on Changing Habits: How to Stop Self-Sabotage and Gain Self-Mastery. She has taught classes in the Community Health Education program at Evergreen Health, and helped thousands of people adopt healthier habits. Her class series, The Art of Mindful Weight Loss, provides mindfulness based, solution focused education and resources to help you maximize your success. Several of her guided imagery audio programs are included as options for our patients.
Dr. Stephen Markus brings over twenty five years of experience integrating both conventional and complementary medicine. As a practicing Psychiatrist, Dr. Markus is the founder and Director of Creekside Medical Center. His clinical practice addresses the role of nutrition and biochemistry to support patient care, recovery from addictions, and sustainable health and wellbeing.
